Bike laying on the side of the road FM1375@45

Coming out of the forest on FM1375 right before you get to 45. Sportbike just laying in the grass like it crashed. I started looking for a rider and did not see any signs of one. It was pretty weird riding up on a scene like that not seeing a person around.

Did not really pay attention to the model but maybe a older ninja 250 or a ex500 or something. Saw a DPS officer down the road and talked to him. Said he has been looking for a rider and it looks like the rider locked up the rear or the transmission locked up. He said the back tire had a real bad bald spot. He ran the serial and it was not reported stolen.

Has to leave it laying there for 48 hours before they can pick it up. First time I ever heard of that. Thought they come to an accident scene and it gets tow'd. Maybe the bike broke and the owner just threw off the road.

Posted the area in case somebody knows who it could be and could be missing. They are watching it. Rider could of bumped his head and is walking out in the national forest.

Bait bike and it should be a GSXR-1000. More baddies will want those than a Ninja 250.

I'm sure the dude wrecked and he was dirty so he fled the scene. It's not too uncommon
