Is $160 reasonable to "check over the bike"? They (mancuso sw) are saying it costs that much to get a thorough look to for an estimate. They said they will waive the fee if I decide to get the work done, otherwise I will have to pay up.

Take your bike to Motorcycles Unlimited.

Do not let them touch your bike and go to Motorcycles Unlimited! They do insurance work too.

BY the way...do you have pics of your damage? a slow speed lowside should involve about five mins worth of inspection.....maybe some quality time (15 mins) to order the parts off of a diagram.
Probably not bad at all.

Oh , its too late... I already had it towed to Mancuso SW and that alone cost me $110.00... The towing service said I was lucky to get towed on a Saturday. I would hate to spend that kind of money to tow it again.

dude, I was at the area around that time, saw your posts while I was having lunch at WB, I drove back to my place a little after, didn't see anything, sorry to hear that. Forget about the damage to the bike, it can be fixed. Hope you're ok, I'm working on my bike on that neighborhood at Fry and 529 but live 290 inside the beltway, hmu next time.

The shift lever apparatus is broken off... left foot peg apparatus is broken. clutch wires hanging below bike...

Guess I will call Mancuso up on Tuesday and just say dont worry about it, as long as they haven't touched it yet.

Do this!
Byrdman is good peeps and that deal from Mancuso is outrageous!

Motorcycles Unlimited will do the work right and not try to send their kids to college on one minor mishap!

Good looking out Byrdman! I do not own a truck or I would have offered as well!

Another lesson learned here.
Get tow insurance on your full coverage policy. I think its like 2-4 bucks a month difference.
Not preaching just letting you know that its cheap and when you need it...you need it and its worth having.

Glad you are ok! I did a $4200.00 Boo Boo to my ZX14 last December. You aint the first and wont be the last. Motorcycles Unlimited will do the job right for sure.

I can pick it up from mancuso and inspect it over for you for free or byrdman can. I just live down the road from them.

I will check my insurance policy to see if I have it. Not sure if I do, but if I don't, I will add it whenever it is time to renew the policy.

I decided to let them deal with it. I wish I had time, but I am swamped at work.
