Austin and surrounding area

Well ill be heading up to austin tomorrow morning on the bike for a personal getaway. Need some time to relax and reset my brain. So ill be camping saturday. Anyone know of some good roads I can rip up? Pretty hilly out there so I imagine their should be a nice ride somewhere out there. O and if anyone lives out there or will be there this weekend lemme know!

I personally love this Highway called 2222. Long open sweepers.

If my memory serves me correctly, theres a park/camp site called Jane long or something. The road up there is decent and has a smaller tighter road that has signs saying "motorcycle". The posted speed limit is 10/15 through the blind curve. It wasnt hard nor technical.

There is this road by Lake Travis. I don't know the name, but I always go there after having a meal at Oasis. There are some big houses along the way. Pretty nice.

Take 35 up to 1431 (Cedar Park), turn left and enjoy.

Once you pass the cattle guards, look for Cow Creek rd. and enjoy some more!

Here's a good 2 hour ride:
Go south on 290
After the 'Y' at 71 take a left onto FM 1826
Stay on 1826 toward driftwood, on the way you can stop for BBQ at the salt lick.
1826 will dead end into 150
Take a left
Take a right after a mile or so onto elder hill road
Follow this all the way to rr 12
Take a left on 12 and go south through the town of wimberley
When you get to 32 take a right
Proceed on 32 until you make a choice:
You can either make a right onto Fischer store road and follow that back to 2325 which takes you back to wimberley, via the devils backbone, and you can just follow the same route back to Austin, OR:
Stay on 32 all the way to 281 in blanco
Here you'll make a right (north) on 281 which can take you back to 290 (and Austin)
Or, go all the way to 962 and take a right (preferred) and go all the way to Hamilton pool road (3238) and follow that back to 71 which runs back into 290.
It's a really cool loop. 1826, elder hill road, 32 - the devils backbone part, and Hamilton pool road are all really sweet.
