Electrical help?

The GSXR600 had some issues last Saturday. Display, and lights shut down, but would still run. Found this today ( it's the stater connection) any help is good. Thanks.

Cut and either solder on a new plug or solder it to the other side...

Dirt or grime causes high resistance...resistance causes heat which melts those plugs since a lot of voltage/amps flow thru that plug....

Splices suck compared to soldering...if ur gonna splice a new connector u need at least 6" of wire from the connector to splice area. If splicing to the other connector use splices that u can heat shrink. It will seal out the water/dirt...

Good to look everything over before it becomes a problem. Sometimes you don't see them that deep though.
