I can only sit back and wait. I hope you understand the power and that's prob a dumb choice as your first bike.

In all seriousness however I'm still looking but leaning heavily towards a 600....primarily because its a good mix of economy and power/torque to get thru this kinda traffic....I've read all the 250 vs. 600 and I beleive everyone is different and the bike will go only as fast as you want it to. Yes I'm sure uve all heard this before as well but really guy, I'm different

I know, keep your car man, my cars down at the moment so I have to ride every where. Just got back from school and got soak with my laptop on my back. Bikes are a lot of fun, but you really need a car. You cant just go anywhere on a bike, you have to plan your trips and make sure you park where you can see it.

I know I'm beating a dead horse here and considering the answers you've given, you probably won't listen, but do NOT get a 600 as your very first bike.

MOST everyone on this forum (myself included started on a 250 for at least a half or full season). A 600 is a very very very powerful bike and is EXTREMELY responsive. Take a noob's death grip on the bars go over a small bump and see what happens on a 600. Take the extreme responsiveness of the brakes on a 600 and have a noob grab a handful of break, see what happens.

Again, you probably won't listen but I'd hate to read yet ANOTHER RIP rider story. It's not a joke out here, if you're not careful you absolutely CAN die or even worse be crippled or even worse paralyzed.

Here is just one news story of people who had no idea what they were doing when they decided to swing their leg over the seat:

Just my $0.02.
