First time on a real bike in 5 1/2 weeks

Well against doctors orders and my better judgement, I got on my ZX10 and took a lap around my neighborhood a few minutes ago.

I was able to insert my foot into my riding boot so I said WTF...I'll give it a try.
Result: I am not ready to ride. Downshift to first feels like 2 feet for my poor ankle and upshift to second feels like 3 feet. Nowhere comfortable to rest my foot on the peg to stabilize my ankle. Shifts are way too clunky and slow to be safe on the street!

, I wanna ride! I guess I have my motivation to stretch and strengthen my ankle!

Well bravo for trying. My ankle and big toe weren't nearly as bad as your injury after the Memorial Day off but honestly I have struggled to shift smoothly with them since then. I have run two races on it and usually after I get off the bike I have a limp for a couple days. I can only imagine the difficulty you are having. Heal up quick.

Shift with your heal. You will be fine.

Take it easy Brotha. Bones, and tendons take time to heal. Riding will always be there.

Against what others say. Let your body heal before you exert stress on it. You're almost there!

If you want to see it being ridden, feel free to give me a shout. I'll leave you in awe.
