I agree, I just rode it from Wendover Utah to Houston.

Due to unexpected results in Wendover I am selling it.

I feel like I am too new here to post in the for sale section, but it is on Houston craigslist for what I think is a pretty reasonable price.

Well, I think we have enough dialog now and your reserve to post in the sale section is admirable. I'd go ahead and post it up, perhaps someone will pick it up. Good luck. Perhaps someone else will chime in.

What kind of opinions where you looking for?

1. I have only owned it for about 1 week, drove it 450 miles day one, 650 day two, 450 day three.

2. It made mid 40 mpg @ 85 mph (with a few short bursts up to 160)

3. It has a pipe, power commander, etc.

It doesn't use any oil, has no leaks, anything else I should be looking at closely prior to selling it to anyone?

I looked around on the internet, nobody seems to have anything bad to say about the reliability of the engine, trans, clutch, but I don't care to sell it to someone and find out that it has a known issue...

So why do you want to sell it?
I am on my second one and they are phenomenal bikes.

I bought this off of one of my best friends to help finance his bike project for Speedweek.

The last pass on Friday went badly, so I am pretty sure I am going to sell this and buy another one of his bikes.

He went down at about 185 just before the 2nd mile.

that sucks. If you want someone to look over it before you sell it, Motorcycles Unlimited us just north of you, they are a sponsor here and extremely knowledgeable, they will shoot straight with you. I'd give Patrick a call.

Yep, it sucks, he is still in the Hospital in Salt Lake, 6 broken ribs, broken shoulder, fluid in lung, etc.

He is up an walking today, supposed to be released by tomorrow to go home...

His wife has an 1150 BMW that I am going to try and buy off of him since he will be off work for about 6 weeks...

If he/she decides to let the BMW go I want to have the cash ready.

My opinion is to keep the 14. More power, better handling when you get the suspension set. 14 is one of the smoothest best all round bikes on the market. Hauls and can carve a pretty good corner.

You are right, this bike is not cosmetically perfect, but the engine is amazing, it has so much more power than my Vmax and is much smoother... but I probably can't convince my wife to let me buy another bike one week after buying this one.

I would have thought that priced $1000 less than any other 14 on craigslist would have been enough to find a buyer. Perhaps they think it is a scam or something, but it is legit with a clean title.... Or maybe everyone on craigslist is dreaming on their price, and I am still to high????
