Thumbs down Road Hazzard 'bout did me in...

So I'm heading back from galviston today just a few hours ago. I was minding my own business, not even riding stupid or pulling wheelies.....

Next thing I know, there is a HUGE bump in the road. I haven't the slightest idea what it was. I had no time to react, and I was straight over it. It sent my bike into that dreaded whoble (spelling?) after I came back to earth of course. I have no clue how I got out of it, but I definatly chilled on the side of the road for a good hour just trying to relax a bit.

It was probably about a foot in diameter, and suck up from the ground about 4 -5 inches.

Did anyone else see this / hit it?

If I were to hit it and wreck my bike, would that have been my fault?

.....:BangHead:

I-45 North coming from galviston. I know I rode for like 7 minutes after the incident to get to exit 26. So assuming I was going around 70, I would estimate it to be anywhere from mile marker 15 to 19 in the middle lane.

WATCH OUT, I'm not kidding. I'm lucky I made it out of that.

Your right... it was more like a solid 15 minutes, but it was a while. Anyway, steering damper? It has one built into the bike which I'm sure helped, but has anyone put another one on top of this?

Don't put one on top of it, replace that factory with a quality unit.

And for the love of , put some gear on man!
