Oil Change.

So after reading http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=21736 it came to me that my friend hasn't changed his oil for a good 4000 miles before i purchased the bike, and until now the oil has still remained unchanged. It is a 2004 GSX-R600 with 7100 miles and the last oil change was done at 3000 I believe. Should I just bring it to a dealership and pay however much to do a service check? Also, how rediculously bad is this for my bike or any bike that is in general?

at some point there is a major service that needs to be done (check valves, etc). i would call a dealer and ask what mileage that is.

as for now, yes you need an oil change. do it yourself if you "know" you can do it. get someone to show you how if you "think" you can do it. take it to a mechanic or a friend who can do it if you "know" you cant do it, lol.

you have a very nice bike. youd best take good care of it, and it will last you a long time. abuse it and i will hunt you down and kill you. kthxbye, have fun, ride safe.
