Where did this happen, what restaurant? Not that I am planning a boycott, I just find it interesting the news has been kinda coy about it. Also, could they be found liable if their parking arrangement forces the valets to make this turn on a regular basis?

RIP to the rider in any circumstance.

Ugh, so horrible. Another loss that could have been prevented.

IF it's a situation where the valets were hurrying to move more cars, make more tips, then it is inexcusable. It's inexcusable anyways when it is EASILY avoidable.

RIP to the rider and the cyclist on Memorial earlier in the week.

Why?

Accidents happen, so far no one here has stepped up as witness to it...and as demonstrated the quality of the information provided by MSM is questionable at best.

1. The valet company is probably independent of the restaurant
2. Uh, this story was written from police reports. You don't think the restaurant is named in the police report, do you?

Your right I'm sure everything is "legal" at the valet.

Corner Table Restaurant. The individual should be held accountable, and possibly the valet company. However, I don't see how the restaurant should be held liable when they outsource the valet services.

Valet groups are almost always unaffiliated with the restaurants. Gotta hope for the rider's family that the valet company has insurance.
