Well, I hope the valet learns a valuable lesson, what with being charged with a traffic violation. I mean, sure he killed someone but hey, a traffic violation is sufficient.

Right now, the driver of the BMW is facing only a traffic violation, though that could change depending on the outcome of the investigation.
Both the valet company and driver can be sued

that sucks...accidents do unfortunately happen though, hopefully the guy gets a little more than a slap on the wrist. Granted he didn't mean to do it.. but he broke the law and caused a death!

RIP to the rider, this just goes to show we must assume vehicles don't know we're there. They also didn't mention what gear the rider was or wasn't wearing which could of cost him his life.

Why even say that??? Whats it matter?
A driver killed a person that the news actually stated speed wasn't a factor.

Rip to the rider.

Yeah, I was just wondering if he was squiding, or geared up... It sounds like it was not really a high speed impact, but IDK. <edit> It does matter in a way. If he did or didn't have a helmet on... it could have made the difference between a trip to the hospital or a trip to the cemetery. We will have to see what comes of it.

They said he had a helmet and gloves on but was killed due to injuries sustained to his chest.

Wearing are gear makes a big difference. It the difference between your head to the concrete or a cushioned helmet.

Regardless a mistake was made and a fellow rider went down. Just as most motorcycle accidents, it's the vehicles vault.

Either way you see it this is tragic and we don't even know the depths of the story.

It's always a vehicle's fault even when the motorcycle is all alone on the road

If he wasn't wearing gear then he deserved it and I hope he rots in . If he was then he must have died in a nuclear explosion because the gear didn't work. Just reading from the Holy Gear Bible.

RIP in all seriousness.

comicle has it being reported as

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-te...php?cmpid=hpts

they say the driver was backing out...

Sad when speed to get it first puts accuracy second..or third
