TIME, no time. Heat, I have a cage with AC for a reason.

I've had the bike for like 3 months now? maybe 350 miles...250 of it being commuting (about 12 times to the office). once the temps start falling back to 85-90 for highs I'll probably pick up the frequency....oh, and the suspension is currently sprung way too tight for my . Need to find time to run by a shop to have it adjusted.

Why do we need to ride them? Can't we just go stand by them with all the neons on and be considered bikers? I just want to look cool. If I rode it, it could get bug guts on it, rained on, crashed, and I'd have to wax it and put more tire shine on it to make it look good.

You can NEVER have too much tire shine!! Just make sure you soak them good, get it down IN those treads.

Who cares about miles ? I can ride up and down all these stupid straight roads here all day long, pretty much takes no skill riding around these roads around Houston. Come to Utah where I'm from and we'll go who ride, or lets go to the dragon. I've yet to be one one really exciting ride here. Ok, that's is all

I didn't know we were talking skill.

If my bike had an hour meter, I would've posted that.

Umm.. Referring to the opening post. They way I read it, apparently your a "real rider" if you put lots of miles on your bike. Just cause my poser boss commutes his goldwing back and forth to work everyday and racks up some miles makes him "walk the talk". Guess ill trade in the S1000 for a Honda shadow and ride it to work down I10 doing on avg 15 mph, so I can be a real rider. That way I can some real respect around these parts. Lol

If I put lots of miles on my bike, I can then "walk the walk"
