yeah just going by what he said. looks like he tried to control the tank slapper and then locked up the throttle. also looked like he was new to the track also?

Yeah I believe he's from Dallas, I hadn't seen him there before and he totally blew 10, that's when I passed him.

He's a fast rider but you have to learn the track first before you can really go fast.

the chicane there T13,14,15 has a nasty reputation of sending people into the high wall. I've seen numerous road race cars hit in the exact same spot. Come into 13 too hot, try to overcompensate in 14 then lose the rear entirely in 15. Guy is lucky to be alive - some car racers have not been as lucky crashing there

So, this was me. Still recovering, currently learning how to walk again before I have knee surgery plural. 1FC, I did throw away turn 10, I don't know what it is with that turn but I only get it right maybe 30% of the time. Also, I think it's incorrect to say that 2 psi. would have "nothing" to do with it... Obviously it had at least "something" to do with it. But I know that after I screwed 10, that I was trying to pace off you and the guys in front of you and waiting for my first chance to get back in front, so I know in the final turn I was wanting to get a good drive out on the main straight and get around. Obviously it didn't work out... This was my second time at TWS (Texas World Speedway), but I was running something like 12 seconds faster than my first time there Nd it was my first time on race rubber. Anyway, I'm getting tired of typing... But thought I would join the forum and let you guys put a name with the video.

I mentioned this on the other forums but forgot on here, but I'm truly sorry to those whose track time I wasted. It makes me feel slightly better that it was a $60 day instead of $150, but still I know everyone including myself invests a lot of our hard earned money into travel expenses for these weekends alone. None of us ever want to be the guy that holds everyone up from their fun, but I guess I just had to be that guy.

No one really plans on crashing on purpose. Better to crash at the track pushing your limits than on the street.

Top bloke.

Oh, and it was a bad idea to try and stick with Dave (1FC). He is quick for a novice....

Get well soon

If you were to see one of Haydens onboard videos from TWS (Texas World Speedway), he had a nasty head shake in the same place... and he's on a little bike. Is that just one of those locations on the track that you file in your mind to watch for?

the whole way onto the front stretch you are sliding the rear just waiting for it to grip so you can pin it , then right as you go WFO you hit the transtion to the banking , thats where most ppl get the head shake. you are always expecting it just hoping it doesnt happen.

I noticed how bad the transition is.. It's like a rutt.

If I get back in the saddle again, it won't be with a HESD (Honda electronic steering damper) I don't feel like it did a very good job for me on my long trip to that wall. I also won't be riding without some suspension... Hopefully some ohlins.
