There are some arrogant and cocky dudes out there! Most of them though are just super excited and don't really mean it! They just act that way cause they like going fast! If they think their don't stink them they are probly gonna have some Karma catch them at the track or later in life. Usually those who are cocky are not fast anyways!

It is the second most fun I have had on two wheels...the first being racing Formula 4 Mini Endurance! Ryan stop talking about my cocky slowness!

I use to do karting, but after 6 years of it i started to lose interest so I bought a gs500 to start riding and learning track. I'm getting all my stuff together to start track riding and next year I'll be living in college station so I'll be close to TWS (Texas World Speedway). If the only cost will be gas, bike repairs/tyres, and the fee of it, how worth it is it? Because it honestly seems like the most fun thing possible lol
00 SV650, used leathers, back protection, pit stands, tire warmers and trailer. New helmet, boots and gloves. $150.00 genset. Man the bike is a little slow but wringing a bike out at TWS (Texas World Speedway) (any bike) is great fun. I did 10 track days in the past year and spent $3500.00 and that includes COTA. You can absolutely go on the cheap. Lose interest and move on, just like any hobby.

hahah yeaah. well its my first bike so if its a bit slow I really wouldn't mind.
I plan on not ever losing interest on this, but no one knows the future lol
Also considering im studying to be a team engineer for formula 1, racing and track days seem like a permanent part in my future haha

But im glad to have so much positive feed back about racing on the cheap! im really stoked!

Yeah my 03 SV6550 I think two sets of tires lasted me all season and that was with additional street tires. I also had an absolute blast riding it at the track the torque curve is smooth. I have ridden a 600 at the track, which was fun and the 250 is even cheaper and more fun than the 650 but my first love will always be the feeling of the SV.

Repairs for 2 crashes was a total of $1600 (out of 100 td's). Taking it easy had nothing to do with it, do enough td's and your bound to make a mistake just like on the street, it might be less painful is the biggest difference.

I just caution guy's that swear they are never riding the street again after doing a few td's........they get expensive.....and it can get boring.
