Come out to a track day on Sept 7th with Fastline. You can even come as a spectator for free. Watch how Novice class starts slow, and the instructors gradually work you up. You will understand when you see it and that fear of crashing will be gone.
i cant go on sept 7 but ill definitely look into going esp now that little6 offered towing my bike for me.

Hahha. I see what u did there.

Im not afraid, per se.
Im just too dependent. There. .i said it.
Trust me, if C was still my bf i would be doing tds by now. It's the resources. .not readily there.
I have a 2nd bike to use for track so we can scratch "losing a bike" off the list of Reasons.

Stunting. .that seems easier to get into. What..change a sprocket n get a cage, take out air, put back air.
Track is a lot of work.

Thayleal thanks for the great thread. I hung around the track for over 3 1/2 yrs helping any way i could crash truck (lol) cornor working waiver duty getting everyone to sign ect. Everyone encouraged me to get a
track bike and come out Well i did and on my first track day on the third turn during rob robin i went off the track. embarrassing but i had not learned the skills yet. since then i have done a lot of track days and i must
admit that my street smart has been helped by what I have learned at the
track. I didnt know i could throw my Goldwing into cornors LMAO now.
I have wrecked a few times on the street and i have to say I have been hurt worse on the street than at the track. I love the brother and sister hood and
how everyone involved at the track helps each other without questions or wanting anything in return. Yes I have wrecked at the track also and did not
even think about asking for money from the one that caused the accident. It
is something i do not regret. Will be back on the track Sept 7th with
Fastline and looking forward to this time. Money yes it is tight. Have to
save and give up other hobbies right now. But I would not change a thing.
last thought I hope to see everyone at the Track best learning experience
i have ever had. thanks again Thayleal for starting this

It is what you make it to be. Like I said earlier I rode to my first 3 track days. If we find someone with a 4 bike trailer, I'll add you to the list.

Track is a lot of work.
If you want to earn a track day credit you can cornerwork.

All you do is wave a flag, talk on a radio and watch for riders going down. It's the best seat in the house.

It's not really that much work.

The thing is, until you've actually been out there it seems daunting. It isn't. Just throw on your leathers, drop your gear in your backpack, and get your kick stand up!

Yes, it isn't the perfect way to get out on the track. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Get out to the track.

Blanco doesn't have a truck n doesn't really do track.
Craig lives a light year away.

ive heard of this cornerworking. I might consider it. Sitting in the heat by myself is torture though. Perhaps a half shift is bearable. But money isnt the issue. .if i really wanted it, i could just allocate my going out funds to a track fund.

Slyder has Gavin, kalanie had...dreadz, r6gal..i dunno who she has but i seen her with tools in her hands so maybe shes the exception. Plus she rides a truck so shes just about self sufficient.

I have another excuse.
When doing track u wanna have a buddy to do it with. U start together. Be in class together . U grow together, advance together.
Ie: elly and dan. Little6 and debit debit. Cbr-tran and Michael2009. Supawk and sliqrilk. Honey badger n kraze kris. JoeyBaila n rykoson n NewRider n chris 5.0.
u have to find a friend who rides the same as u. Doing track, to me, is a minimum of a 2man team.

I mean the trailer is the hardest part. My roomie has a truck that pretty much is for hauling bikes to the track lol. Or just drop all your gear with someone that is headed that way... then ride down there!
