Sometimes I really like the lack of electronics on my old carburetored ZX6. You can beat FI for efficiency, but there's a whole lot less to go wrong on my bike. I'll never see a check engine light - mine doesn't even have a rev limiter.

I love the fact my motorcycle has carburetors and has no ABS ( will freeze over before I get a bike with ABS). Keep it simple. It would just be a waste for me.

I used to feel the same way until I laid down (gently) my ZX14 last year. I nearly ran across in intersection hauling on the back roads. I definitely made lemonade out of a real bad situation. I hauled my bike down from about 98 to 2mph on a front wheel skid...and fell over at the intersection due to the front being locked. If I had ABS, I would have brought my bike home the way it went out that day. Also, I had just purchased a 2013 ZX10 sans ABS about 30 days prior to this incident and immediately regretted not buying the ABS version.

Cool, if you like your ABS then good for you. I personally will never buy it. I made sure to specify that it would be a waste of money for me and me alone.

If you have a car, does it have ABS, crank start or electric start?

Ah, so then most likely it has an electric starter

Do you avoid commercial airliners with ABS?

You are easily amused. Electric starters been around for years. A lot longer than ABS. It also isn't even cost effective to convert. Definitely a very comparison to ABS. Wait, it's not even a comparison.

Why would I avoid ABS on an airplane? I don't own it. Therefore I don't care.

They're dangerous the same way helmets restrict peripheral vision and the way seatbelts keep you from being thrown clear of the crash

Rowdy,
contact Badassvmax. He works for Houston Motorsports who is an active site sponsor. He will make sure you get taken care of well. They have the #2 ranked Yamaha mechanic in the US so they have a fine tech shop. Great folkms to deal with...Ive bought 5 bikes from them.
