Man, this thread took me by surprise, there has never been a discussion like this on here. Thanks for not beating a dead horse like some other useless thread.

I just sold my bike so I dont ride anymore but I was a track fool back in the day and I rode street almost daily.
Its been two weeks without a bike and I am starting to get cranky and restless.
And on a related note--I didnt like the 10-12 rider treks at midnite as much as with just a few, maybe 3-4 guys in a group. And I only ride street with guys who I know.

Never have understood the only ride on weekend or streets are too scary mindset.

I haven't gotten around to buying another street bike... I was looking at a Ducati recently but opted to finish the builds/rebuilds on my racebikes first...

Why I should NOT ride street.

The streets are dangerous.. There are poles, walls. Cars, trucks, other motorcycles, cops, buzzards, gravel, deer, dogs, mail boxes, ditches, and many more potential things to run into. People text and drive.. Old folks fall asleep at the wheel.. People drive and ride under the influence, cops hate sportbikes.

My family needs me to stick around a little longer.
I would hate to loose a limb or two.

After all said and done, it would suck to give up the sport and then crash in a car.. Or be shot by some deranged fool.. or die of natural causes..

I enjoy riding the streets...

The reason you have to be careful is because there's things to fear.
