How uncomfortable is that bike? I have heard they have very aggressive position and are hard to do long rides/days on. That is really what has kept me from getting one, most folks won't let you test/joy ride without purchase. Beautiful bike BTW.

Very aggressive ergos. For me, I could ride 80-100 miles before I had to get off of it.

one thing i love is how refined but unrefined the bike is it reminds me a old school two stroke gp bike or something that doesn't look like a cutting edge new sportbike but will still spit you sky high if you disrespect her.

grinning ear to ear when i rev and hear those two slugs firing off
Sexy sexy bike man! Always loved the RC51.

I didn't mind it. It wasn't a bike I had planned to do long days on so it wasn't bad. But at about 100 miles you need to fill up anyway, they're pretty thirsty.

vortex clip ons ( playing with positioning in the pic)

vd6b

aluminum spacers (saved some grams of rotating mass)

nhvv

carbon fiber exhaust hangers

9zlv

shorai battery (saved some lbs here no pic though didn't want to take the seat off

Are you going to put radiator fins on it? It is supposed to help with cooling. Some people also will wire one of the cooling fans backwards to help cooling in stop and go traffic.

I had zero issues with heat issues. It never overheated and I never felt any heat on me. I've heard horror stories though.

I've never had any overheating issues in stop and go traffic here either with my RC. With no fins or scoops and the fans running normal, the highest I've seen is 226.

Those are the flimsy chinese aftermarket fairings. The 02 didn't even come in that color. I had planned to get some rashed stock fairings and paint em up.

yeah i'm going to get the ones from oppracing

what i find really funny about this bike as far as cooling goes is that the heat stays down when you are riding (like normal bikes) but when you idle and the heats goes up even when you get back up to freeway speed the heat never really goes down......it might drop a degree or two but i just never goes back down. what i will say is when the fans cut on it will drop back 6-10 degrees but that's about it......

I think my fans kick on at 220 and shut off when it cools to 210.

She's getting a little long in the tooth but I still got her. I need to put a new rear tire on before I ride it again though.
