Ninja 250 Racing - Bluepine

A lap of TWS (Texas World Speedway) racing Ninja 250's. This is so much fun....on a budget!

If you've never ridden TWS (Texas World Speedway) on a mini thru the F1, F2, F3 crossover, this gives you an idea of just how tight it is.

Mark Shim rides the out of the HALFFAST GROUP's bike. I lose the rear end fully cranked over trying to keep pace and almost eat for like the 5th time that day.

In this 4 hour race I rode for 2 hrs, 15 minutes and loved every minute of it. Video still processing at 6:45 PM...hold tight.

Nice! I have been wanting to get a 250 for a budget track bike...
Looks like it could be worth it!

Endurance is a season long affair. 6 - 8 rounds at different tracks, 24 - 30 hours per year. Each race has a winner, losers, DNF, etc and is scored as it's own event. The entire season has a champion. 2 - 5 riders per team. Take turns. Races are timed. 1 point per lap. 1 point per team you beat. Points accumulate thru the season.

Cost is $35 an hour to CMRA, $30 weekend pass, and maybe $25 an hour of consumable. At $60 an hour or so total cost, a season costs a typical team $1800, or for 4 riders, under $500. Plus a bike, maybe $2000 to start. So split 4 ways, it's a $1000 investment, and a $500 cash out at season end. Economical, fun, very competitive racing.

Plus, there are 2 - 4 sprint races for the 250 each weekend so you can sprint if you'd like.

Fun, cheaper than track 21, addictive, and a great way to get iinto bike racing affordably. Plus, less chance of injury due to slower top speeds.

Not to mention how much you learn on the 250 that can be applied to big bikes. Coming from racing the 250 to the SV again I was turning some pretty impressive laps.

I can second the 250 thing...

It is most fun I have had on a bike. Definitely more bang for the buck than any other class.

Having said that, I still get a bigger buzz sprinting a big bike.

It's the reason we are going for CMRA licence, only reason, not going to do sprint. (Sprint is regular race)

It's a wonderful feeling when you go get your plaque. It never gets old going for your sticky bits to put on.
