Would like some input

I got a 2008 CBR600 Graffiti edition, matte black with black designs on it. I am thinking about removing the stickers to give it a clean matte black look. The only thing would be I would lose a little bit of the "novelty" look with the graphics that are on there but I do like a clean, solid look. What do you guys think?

I prefer clean but anything with two wheels is cool.

Do what you like and pleases you. Personally I like the stock look.

See that is why I am torn. I love the stock look but I also like a "clean" look as well. In the end all that matters is my opinion, but I respect the opinions of fellow riders.

Maybe someone with some photoshop skills could edit a pic to what a solid matte black would look like.

Call one of the car wrap shops and see what they would charge you to put a wrap on top of the stickers. Either a solid color or possibly a different design.

Not a bad idea. Never even thought about that.

Leave it for a couple yrs then remove it.
I like it though..adds dimension to the bike. But...from the pics, I cant really see the design well.

There may be clear coat over those stickers. Might not be easy to remove

I think the gas tank graphics are clear coated, but the fairing graphics seem to be more accessible.

I was thinking last night of the possibility of removing the graphics and replace them with some other design, in the same black on black style that it already has.

Maybe I'm just bored and thinking too much.

86 the reflectors and get some flush front turn signals.

Not going to say because it is way too low.... less than 3,000...

I just never have much time to ride like I want. I'm trying to turn that around quickly though.

People who have wrecked their bikes, at..oh lets say a track day at TWS (Texas World Speedway)...who had your graphics...may be interested in buying the fairings. You could make money on the deal, get some other ones to play around with. I was told they are a special edition and you can't buy them separately. PM me if you want me to send your thread on, though I'm not sure what they have already arranged for the bike.

It's your bike, do whatever you want with it. It's very unlikely it'll ever be collectible. Sportbikes tend to be race & replace toys in the US...even the rarer ones like the Alstare suzukis and repsol hondas.

Well, if you can't take the graphics off of the tank, then I would leave the fairings alone. If you CAN get the ones off of the tanks, then I'd take them all off..

There is something to be said for having a factory paint scheme and graphics, especially from a resale perspective. When I see repainted bikes, I instantly think of cheap crash repair jobs..

My buddy recently dumped my 01 1000 I sold him that was 99% perfect condition. The ONLY option I would allow him to do is buy all new, OEM plastics from Suzuki to put it back to 100% original/perfect condition. Not cheap, but it will be right and preserve that classic look. Surprisingly the plastics were still available, 12 years later.
