Mission Ride Smart review

http://rideapart.com/2013/08/rideapa...14-mission-Ride Smart/

I'm crossing my fingers that Honda will release a better copy of this bike for under 20k in a year or so! That torque, all that sweet sweet torque!

Holy , I never thought that the noise would be a big part of electric motorcycles but that sound crazy cool!

Also that tech! Being able to tune the bike using a smartphone is incredible.

Jay Leno rode it last year. Skip to 10:30 for a little instrumentation info, then he goes for a ride.

Jay needs a larger helmet to protect that chin!

As soon as they can get me decent range and charge time I am all about electric. What I don't understand is why someone hasn't made a hybrid like the army has. A small no hp gas/diesel motor that does nothing but run an alternator to constantly charge a small battery cluster. The near zero maint. of electric, the high torque, the ability to run silent and kill the motor, and the long range... Cars should be the same way. Why reinvent the motor with this hybrid . Give me 4 electric motors, one on each wheel, and a lawn mower motor and a few batteries under the hood. Good by tranny, all that linkage, weight.... They keep trying to shove this stupid hybrid instead of just giving us a doable cheap alternative like the army already has.

You should watch his video on Arai helmets where he discusses sliding face down on the road. LOL

Arai should make aero mods for Jay like they do for Nicky. Notice the clear plastic on the helmet's back.
