Bike(s):
'08 R1 "Money Wagon" SOLD!
ZX12 2000 7000 miles on it sold
Kawa 500 Triple 1972 NEW
BSA 250 One Lunger - 1967 NEW

Here's one for you. At Abilene's HEB if you steal meat and get caught, it's not shoplifting, it's cattle rustling!!! A felony. Meat thefts stopped imnediately.

So, how can we apply similar thefts of mc's?

, I'd say mob justice.

To have the gall to steel someone else's property that someone else worked their off for is really something else.

If I caught someone on my property, trying to steal my bike, I'd put that Texan "stand your ground" law to good use.

Mabye you can take off the fairings then nobody would now what it is or want it. The other deterant is not to say where you live on the interweb. Crime going to be on the rise in next couple years lots of people coming here for work from other less respecting nor fearing places.

Park in plain sight.

I park in the garage at home
Park inside the shop at work
When I go somewhere I try and make sure it's in plain sight.

I normally dont go anywhere that would leave my bike unattended.

+1 for those disk locks. recently read a thread where an ex-bike thief was asked what to use to prevent theft. of course he said nothing prevents theft, but alarm disk locks are a good way to deter it, they're really sensitive to movement. thieves have to break the steering lock in order to ride off with the bike, and that alone would make the alarm go off.

Haha no ! Howdy neighbor.

Yeah, that was me squidin' hard. For the record I swear I was adjusting new shift levers I put on, normally I wear full gear.

Thursday or Friday next week we should go cruising if you're around.

I wouldn't make plans too far in the future, your bike might not be around. So far in this very public forum you've given an idea to where you live and how your bike is stored. Also you've hinted that you might not have theft insurance. Get it soon man cause your is gonna get jacked. Good luck, I'd hate your welcome to Texas gift to be a stolen bike, protect that .
