Bike(s):
'08 R1 "Money Wagon" SOLD!
ZX12 2000 7000 miles on it sold
Kawa 500 Triple 1972 NEW
BSA 250 One Lunger - 1967 NEW

Yes, that was the bike. I bought it with the add-ons, and paid just about what a stock bike would cost. There is a learning curve to be sure. Did not get ant other parts in the deal.

Progressive will pay some for upgrades if you have proof of cost and pics, or should I say "Sometimes?"

I do think upgrade exhaust and PC would make the sale a little easier, compared to a stock bike.

yes progressive will pay for add-ons, they in fact offer large amounts of add on coverage as one of their policy options...back in the day when i had a "tricked out" springer, I had an addition for 5K worth of upgrades for not much... and back then
5K was a substantial amount of goodies.

People who do mods usually do it themselves, so the little bit of time spent reverting back to stock (which doesn't take long) is very much worth it. Then they can sell their aftermarket parts separately and have a better shot at recouping some of that money.
