Haha. Yeah. Mine came off a week after getting It. Haven't had one on for well over a year. I did take a pic of it tho. Haha. Isn't that legal.

So to add to my bullshit of a day, went to go show the clerk at the PD and they told me I have to go to court bc there wasn't a sticker to prove that it wasn't expired more than 60 days. Totally contradicting to what the cop told me. Bike cop none the less. And he was cool.

Those clerks think they are gods gift. Bitchy and on a power trip when I was being all nice and respectful. F em.

I have never had any problems with getting a sticker put on the swingarm the few times I actually got one. Went to a nice car place in the woodlands and they didn't even look at my bike, well walked up to it, looks at it and handed me my sticker to do as I wish.

Oh and court wise, those mother fucken Bailor in the court room . I'm going back to the same court rm Tmrw and if I didn't have a hole in my arm to heal. He would get of piece of my mind and Id have a little concrete vacation !

This is what I have. Get the plate and screw it behind the license plate holder.

I took my sticker attachment off before I went to get it inspected. He did say something about seeing it from the rear but I said something about putting it on the tire and he laughed and put it on the swing arm.

My inspection is in my rear seat/trunk as well...

It was originally on a one piece aluminum plate bracket from the dealer where my paper tag was. Once I got my plate I installed a fender eliminator kit which located my plate in front of the rear tire up in the tail section. The inspection tag portion hung too low and would hit the tire if i left it there... So i removed it and simply double stick taped it into my trunk next to my eztag.

Figured it might not be a big deal since everything else is legit
eg. M license/insurance/registration etc.

Well, at least I hope not! *fingers crossed

Right below the lic plate, on a removable piece of plastic for easier cleaning and application. I actually cut the inspection sticker spot off of original lic plate frame and just mounted it above the rear shock.

Just ignore the fruit loop eating midget.

I got my bike inspected last month, the first place I went to wouldn't give me the sticker because the license plate wasn't mounted far enough towards the rear of the bike, and on top of that, wouldn't let me put the inspection sticker on the swingarm.

I went down the street to a different inspection shop, they really didn't give a rats about where I wanted to put the sticker. I've been pulled over a few times for not having a license plate light (finally got one a few weeks ago), and every time they've asked to see my inspection sticker on the swing arm, they've never said anything about it's placement.

Nice. Yeah mine is there now also. Just redicilous that we even need one when you don't even need Insurance to drive in Texas. Total bs

This is from the Texas Drivers License Handbook. It tracks with what I was told years ago; the inspection sticker must be installed "near" the license plate. There is no requirement for it to be seen from the rear. I have used this explanation with LEOs before and never gotten an argument. They ask where it is; I show them; no problem. If someone knows of another authoritative reference please show it. I've put mine on the back of the fender eliminator before.

CHAPTER 2

VEHICLE INSPECTIONAND REGISTRATION

VEHICLE INSPECTION

Keep your car in good condition. The state inspection program gives you fur-ther safety protection. Its purpose is to ensure that the Texas vehicles on the highways are in safe working condition. All motor vehicles registered in Texas, including motorcycles, motor scooters, and mopeds must be inspected each year by an official motor vehicle inspection station. Evidence of financial responsibility for the vehicle being inspected must be presented at the time of inspection. If evidence of financial responsibility is not presented, an inspection certificate will not be issued. When a vehicle passes inspection, an approved certificate must be placed on the windshield. Motorcycles and mopeds shall have the inspection certificate displayed near the rear license plate.

Quickest inspection done. Did mine the other day and the inspector was about to place it on my sidearm, until I told him I would like it on the back plate.
