Rowdy:
Have you hit any bad spots in the road lately, such as a pot hole? Or a bad spot at night, where you could not see it. My guess, is that the front tire may have a lump that is forming, due to ply separation. Surely a wheel is not bent. Also, if the back tire has something wrong with it, the front end can wobble from that.

Have it checked out ASAP. Does not sound safe. When everything is right, you should not feel any wobble or vibration at all. Good luck.

Ok well I took it up to Motorcycles Unlimited and they guys being as awesome as they are took it out for a spin (two guys .. rode it to get someone around my weight on it). Checked the tire pressure (which was not an issue). They said it was smooth as glass could not feel anything. Said everything looked ok and if I needed to bring it back they would look again.

I am going to chalk it up to be noob rider syndrome. It felt weird so I did not want to keep riding and end up in the ditch. They said it could just be me feeling the road surface but nothing felt wrong mechanically when they rode it.

It is something I have kinda noticed from day one but attributed it holding on the bars to tight so I have kinda just let it be. Its not a big bar wobble or anything .. it could just be me being hypersensitive to the road surface. If I feel a change or it gets worse will have it looked at again.

No seriously. let me take it for a spin. Could just be all in your head. Maybe we can swap wheels and see if it's the tire. It's either the tire, steering stem bearings, your riding posture, or you're just imaginin things. lol Don't really thing the front suspension could be it. How much do you weight and what preload setting do you have for it in the rear shock?

Learn to just squeeze the tank with your thighs to hold you upright and keep the weight off. Some tank grips will help a lot to keep your thighs from slipping.

I gave my handlebars the death grip at first, but after reading a lot online, I found that you're supposed to put your weight on your core, not your hands. It also helps to have the "" of your feet on the pegs and in close to the bike (heel near the heel guard). Give your thighs a firm squeeze on the tank.

This exercise should help you with strengthening your core:

Maybe you want to invest in a steering damper, which will reduce the vibration felt on your hands.

This guy just wants to ride a 300! He is crazy! But there are worse candidates... I bought a ninja 250 and Gabriel helped me get it running in a flash flood storm. It slacked off and there were 3 or 4 inches of water in the apartment parking lot still and I owned the ninja for like 4 hours. He was out there riding wheelies in the rain to "test" it. Made me laugh pretty hard til they neighbors turned me in for riding wheelies in the parking lot. I was like... it was in weather that noone could get out of the complex.
