Hey, that's my bike.

Got in about four laps. The rain itself wasn't that bad. It was the cold, and the combination of the two, that probably got to most riders. Even with glove liners on underneath, could hardly feel my fingers after a couple of laps.

Figured most people called it a day when the hail/sleet started coming down.

It took 6 people to change two tires...
Yeah, that would be a fairly useless pit crew...

How much tire wear should I expect out of a track day on street tires? I noticed some wear that wasn't there before and although I know that it wasn't a very hard track day I was still pushing harder than I normally would for the conditions than if I were on the street. The wear is mainly on the front tire. The rock hard z-6 shows no wear.

Okay,

Well i don't know about you guys.

But i had a blast! Probably one of the best track days i have ever done.

I probably got in over 350 miles on the track! That's more then 2 track days! I was out there for every session that Level 3/4 ran and after lunch i was there for pretty much ---- ALL THE TIME! haha..

How's this sound for a B-Day gift - 4 riders on a 2.9 mile track with 8 CW's!

Haha, now that's life, sorry for the chickens and - j/k! But you all missed out on a great day.

I got some great one-on-one instruction with Ty Howard for a very very very long time and many many laps, it was as if we were the only two ones pushing it in the rain and playing tag! Seemed like a private track day for me..hehe..

Thanks CWs!

Will post pictures later!

If you look in the first picture all I see is the windsreen. My track number was 17. Same bike as in my signiture picture.

There was a friend of mine out taking pictures, but he hasn't sorted through them yet. He got a bunch Friday night and then was at it again for a short time Saturday before the day got started.

Well my "Best Lap Time" was 2:01. before lunch. After lunch when it got dry and thought "what i thought was under 2:00" it turned out i got no reading, so i took it up with Dave Wonders, and he said "Oh yea we already removed the Beacon!"

I was soo , i really wanted to see if i could run under 2:00 in wet & cold conditions.

Rain might teach you to be a better rider.....but i think i'd rather learn to be a better rider when it's dry. Plus with the race tires....i don't think i'd have much traction, and i'd probably KILL the heat cycles on em. tire warmers didn't do for the tires....soon as i took the warmers off when we were packing up and leaving, the tires got cold almost instantly.

oh well, i took a loss of like $400 for track, ty school, gas, food, hotel.....hopefully next time will be a better experience.

Good seein some of you out there. until next time.
