Getting closer...
Actually, that's pretty well inline (no pun intended) with an upscale Panigale or RSV4, so not such a bad deal for a premium sportbike.

I'm just waiting for the 3 street bikes to be released.

Although I have my Buell now, so all I need is parts support.

It's mostly the same bike. Less carbon fiber body panels. Lower ECU, Cheaper suspension, and wheels.

I don't see anything on the EBR website about price decrease?

Then it is not a price drop, it is a decrease in quality and components (less CF, worse brakes and suspension, ecu, etc)

This. Both are out of my price range but if I were to buy something of that magnitude, I'd want it to have all the goodies on it.

No street bike is going to have the current motoGP standards ecu/speedo combo. When you are talking 12k just in suspension on a GP bike, not going to happen on the street version. Ever.

Sorry, do I need CF to ride to work, don't think so. Are magnesium wheels light, sure, but they aren't going to handle Houston pot holes, and start to degrade after 5 years. I'll take the aluminium ones thank you. Once again, do I need a 6K ecu/speedo combo for street riding? Sorry, sure don't. I'll take the cheaper combo and plug my phone in if I need to adjust and monitor cam positions in real time. Top of the line 14k suspension, nice, but once again, made for the track and not road riding. If you haven't noticed how the industry works. They develop the GP version, then scale it back for the production market. Every single manufacturer does it this way and always have.

Please, more talking...

It was announced through their facebook page. I'm assuming the investment from HERO has put the website on hold for a few.

sorry to tell you, but that Buell ain't moto gp worthy, WSBK maybe. doubt that too

$12k for moto go suspension, lol, try just a little bit more.

RSV4 factory comes w/ all the carbon, suspensionm wheels and top flite elec. for $24k and comes w/ world championships. buell? oh yeah it placed in a few AMA races.

he had quite the margin and i bet if anybody bought at $40k, they are .........

Now that the 2013 RSV4 Factory with ABS and a few other tweaks has hit the showroom floor at less than $20k MSRP, '12 RSV4 Factory can be had for $17k or maybe even less.

I agree those who paid top dollar might be a little peeved.

They came with everything they had to come with. MV and Duc never took anything off my bikes to make it less expensive and I did buy NEW.

I don't think you need a bike either but you want one right. Upgrades are nice but you are going to pay for them whether stock or aftermarket.
