naw! I walk into Ace and they send 2-3 people to help me. I don't walk out of there without spending less than 50$ on bolts every time. I only got another 50$ and every bolt on the bike has been upgraded. Time to wreck her.

Dude, McMaster Carr is your friend. I bought a bigass bag of stainless bolts in the standard size most anything Japanese uses for generic fasteners (6mm if memory serves) for about $10 and I replace anything that I can with them. I've got about a 3-4 years supply or at least one or two pretty good bike builds worth of fasteners for next to nothing.

Nope, going on an american sport bike. Everything is standard and 30+ different sized bolts. McMaster does have a few I can't find locally but the majority of what I need they were same as retail.

Ace? Lowes? that!

there is a place over near Hardy and Beltway 8 ( north side) called Nuts and Bolts.
They have everything you need.
Example: I picked up 12 M6x18, 8 M4x18, washers (20 of them), a badass tap, drill bit, for less than $20.

One of the better places I have found in the area.

Yup, find a legit fastener store and save some bucks. Ace is definitely better than Lowes/HD, but there are plenty of places that will beat all of them on price and selection.

just picked up 16, 4mmx8mmx10mm allen head stainless (carb bowl screws)
4 3/32 E clips
$2.77 total
They have a $5 min. purchase.

so it cost me $5.41 for all that.

Metric20Socket20Head20Cap20Screws

The bolts were 6 cents each
