About a week ago Saturday came around a curve on Honea Egypt road only to find a doe and her fawn standing in the road looking at me like I was in he wrong place. It was 5:00 in the afternoon and like 85. Made it half way up 149 and almost shat myself twice because of freaking dear trying to jay walk. Now I know why I seldom see them when I'm hunting. I'm in the woods and they're on the side of the road.

I can walk out my door at 2-3 am and there will be a good 10-20 of them about 50 feet from me. Just lookin at me, like "come on bra, this my house"... Gota snort a few times to show them who's the Alpha and they run off. Right back next night. I've seen them resting on the the road on cold nights cause the road is a natural heat sink and stays warm till about 1am. forest rats.

Dear dont bother me, but decent sized snakes and tarantulas I raise my legs and scream like a little girl. er, littler girl...

Right ..sit in a stand a couple weekends each year .. no deer. Ride a bike down the road and the flock to you. Maybe next year will just ride the motorcycle to the lease and mount my gun on the handle bars

Less people on the road, but more accidents occur at night, buddy. I always avoid riding at night if I don't need to.
