Bridgestone test

Not sure if most of you remember the tire test I said I'd do with John and the 'stones. Well I finally took them off last weekend. I got SEVEN days out of them at MSRH!!! I took them off not because I was starting to slide and they were going off or anything. I just figured it MUST be time for a new set. The wear was fantastic, the grip incredible, and the price is right too. I did ZERO set up change between the 'Stones and the Power Race and actually gained 1/2 second over my previous best lap. WOW!!!!! Great tires and a good price, and John's service on top of all that. I'm sold.................
Thanks for the push John, you were right. :notworthy

I can't claim to be anywhere near as fast as you guys. However, I threw the Stones on before last Saturdays trackday, replacing the Michelin Power Race's, and I am not going back to Michelin. I was amazed with the Stones. Turn-in, cornering grip, grip under acceleration, all of it felt better.

From my understanding, and John, Patrick, or Buck please correct me if I'm wrong, but you would want a medium to soft compound in colder weather and medium to hard compounds in the warmer temps.

The tires we're talking about are the Bt-002's like Buck and Arturo mentioned.

I wan tot try the hard rear next as the weather warms up. I got 7 days on a med rear, and a soft front. Think I'll stick with the soft front for the great feel i get from it. The rear I want to see how many days I'll get from a hard compound. 10-11? :dontknow:

MSRH is VERY easy on tires, but seems to offer great grip.
Thats also a sign that Buck is very smooth & also has a great set-up.

Probably all of the above. Even so 7 days out of a set of tires is pretty amazing, since I gather that he is quick as well.
