haha, no.. i had an 04 6rr before this and that couldnt be further from the truth... i guess your the guy who is in denial so he doesnt have to go spend money on the better bike? hah... either way ive rode the 05-06 636 plenty of times to give the comparsion... like i said how many times have you rode the 07?

read this and draw your own conclusion.. ive read tons and tons of posts of people who moved to the 07 from the 05-06 and not one regret from anyone... quit reading magazines and find out for yourself.

Oh, and so far as the "slow" 07, I was watching WSB yesterday, and a 07 Kawa 600 won the 600 race. They repeatedly talked about its lack of straight line speed, but he was killing them at the end in the corners.
It was down almost 5 mph on the straight, but he was able to draft.

Excellent race. Pretty even between the Hondas and R6, only 1 GSXR 600.

same thing i was saying the kawa 600 is doing better than any of the 03-06 kawa 600s.

I did that quick review of the 07. In 120 miles of track riding I did on it, the 07 has a far superior transmission to the 05-06 models. This is known weakness with the previous gen zx-6's. The 07 is really really smooth when shifting, no clunky feeling at all. They went to a cassette transmission this year too, you don't have to break the engine down to access the gears. It doesn't pull as hard out of the corners like the 636, but to offset that you can always increase turn entry speed. I myself wont be selling my bike to get the new model, its just not that much of a difference between the two.

Its not really fair to compare the 636 to the 07 zx-6r anyway. People seem to forget that the rr was the 600cc model. So the 07 should really be compared to the 06 zx6rr.
