I almost set my bike on fire.

So as some ppl know I got stranded on with my bike this morning ( thanks again Joey for the help). Well after trying to figure out the problem I decided to check my fuses and realized my 30 A fuse was burnt . So I replaced it and bike was fine and started right up again then I noticed the smoke. So I paniced a little and shut the bike off and looked so see my R/R was smoking and burning on the verge of catching fire. So needless to say I blew the fuse again and need a r/r ( hoping stator is good).

Hondas are real bad about R\R and melting the wires. I had mine do it and a few others I've fixed on the road out in the middle of nowhere Arkansas.

Check all the grounds and make sure the battery is good if its a little low it cuases more strain on the weak parts in the system and check the connections also!

It's just one of the facts of life with Texas. Soon as summer hits cages are having blow outs all over the place. The higher ambient heat creates higher resistance in AC and DC electrical systems. A copper cable loaded to 15-20 amps might have been fine in sub 100+ degree heat but now is "coiling like a pigs " as we say in the entertainment industry.

Note to self make sure gear is also flame retardant. How long did recovery take on that?
