I'm not going to lie.. considering he was speeding, hit a curb, went flying, slammed his head into the ground, and wasn't wearing a helmet.. its quite impressive he didn't die on impact. Regardless though it is very sad.. It's one of those things that people will probably use to say how "dangerous motorcycles are" when it wasnt the motorcycle, it was entirely his fault..

Think I shook his hand, my first ever north side meet, it was when I had the R6. He was cool, I recognized the Chevy Kawasaki jacket. Didn't know him very well, figured it was one of those meets where D.Anderson refused street riding for the track. There's a lesson to be learned. As good as I hear he is, it is highly possible that he was focused on surrounding traffic and not on the wheel path.... For those spiteful bastards who live in this surrounding area of Houston... Be very careful, EVERY rider must fall. And to you Fernando, I pour to you, and may you spirit save your fellow riders from any foreboding mishap... Peace to you, Peace to your family, as lucky as they were to have had you in this brief period. May be with you all; rest in peace brother.

Shut your mouth! Your screen name says it all!

For one i don't see any report that says he wasn't wearing his helmet(i could be wrong).
His speed wouldn't of played that big of a role being he didn't know that new addition was their and you cant see it at night. So being speed limit is roughly 50 and up to 60 as soon as your on hwy, i doubt he was speeding much more than every houston driver does getting on hwy..... So yes motorcycles are dangerous. If he was in a car and hit the curb it would of been a whole diff outcome.

So off and have some respect n00b!!!!

RIP Bro. That curb is a monster at nite. I almost hit it a month ago in the car and made a mental note to watch out for it at night if out and about on the moto.
So sad for our moto community to have lost such a nice guy.

you dont see any report that says he wasn't wearing a helmet..? Theres like 5 lines in the original article.. and one of them says he wasn't wearing a helmet..
Even the original post says that.
Also when I say he was speeding... I mean he was going fast on a motorcycle, not going over the speed limit.
I was also saying considering he didn't die on impact and it was a head injury (and he wasn't wearing a helmet) its sad that just wearing his gear would've changed everything.

I don't appreciate the overzealous exclamation points with ' off' when you just misinterpreted my message and didn't bother to read the original post.
