Arrow Lightweight Helmet

So I have been looking into a new helmet and since I have some neck problems I am in the market for something light. Don't really want to spend more than about 450ish. I am coming from the Bell Vortex and it is HEAVY. Anyone have any recommendations?

I really like my bell star carbon. You can find previous model closeouts in your price range.

A friend has the nexxt(sp?) And it's super light, probably my next one

If you don't mind ordering from overseas, the Airoh is probably one of the lightest helmets I've held.

I have a Bell Star carbon, suomy spec1r, shoei, and a AGV gp tech...... The suomy is def my lightest helmet... Look for a older but un-used spec1r extreme and you could probably find a good deal...oh and doubt you will find a better looking helmet.

You don't need the lightest helmet, you need to find a helmet that is aerodynamically stable. For example, an arai that is a little lighter than than my shoei qwest, but the arai feels like its going to tear my head off at highway speeds and my neck would be sore after a three hour ride. The shoei is so much smoother in the air, like night and day.

It also depends a lot on what kind of wind shield you have, too.

I have a Zero Gravity Double Bubble. My Vortex feels heavy even not riding and worse at highway speeds. I looked at the Shoei RF1100 but I don't think it is much lighter. The Suomy's seem nice but I haven't heard much about them other than they are light. Even after googling them I just don't see a whole lot of info. I did see alot of people at the track with them on so I guess they must be alright.

The plan was to find out a few of the lighter models out there and then go see which of those fits my head the best and kinda go from there.

HJC RPHA-10 is nice. I have one and a Corsair-V. Arai does seem to suffer a little more from wind blast but it's comfy as .

The new RPHA-10 is the lightest helmet on the market. I have been using an RPS-10 for the last three years and just ordered the new RPHA. Love the RPS-10. It was one of the lightest for a while.
