Bandidos in Houston....

Call were dropping all day about 1000 - 3000 bikes on the freeway blocking traffic. I'm thinking, yeah ok this is a BS call. I make it out and all I could see was what looked like a million bandidos headed s/b on 45.

One of their leaders died, I was told, and this was the funeral procession.

Well 3 HD's wrecked and I had to work the accident. Jeans, leather, but no real gear. They said they were wearing helmets but I never saw one. The female passenger on one lost most of the skin from her to her ankle.

I really couldn't feel sorry for them because they were giving the EMT's a hard time for cutting their leather vests off. Actually they were fighting mad about it.

Anyone else see them?

you know what, you are right. i have seen over 95% of cruiser guys without any type of gear; none what-so-ever. I actually should change this to 100%

you know who is worse are the touring guys. The ones on the big Goldwings hardly ever wear gear.
At least the cruiser guys wear some gloves or leather somethin.

Everyone gives the younger guys about being young, stupid and immature ... which to a certain degree is true ... but these older dudes on cruisers and tourers should know better and yet I rarely see any one of them wear the proper gear. Maybe because they think they are riding slower, or that they are older and have more experience to get out of trouble ... but still the stats are showing that the 40+ crowd are the ones doing the majority of the crashing these days.

There are different levels of stupidity... riding like a bat out of on a sportbike with no gear is just plain stupid. Riding safely on a cruiser without gear is a different story. Neither idea is safe, but I still say the cruiser rider, who is riding safely, is the smarter one.

I saw them, I saw the wreck, two bikes ran into each other(if you wana be a bandito, you should know how to ride first) just past gulf bank on 45s/b side. there was a sheet load of those fools. After the wreck they blocked the whole freeway with their bikes.

I passed a Goldwing crew yesterday, maybe 10 bikes, all looked like 40yr old plus riders and all had helmets, gloves, jkts, etc...

I shut down three bandidos not to long ago....some of those guys are going to full face helmets with blacked out (dark smoke) visors to help hide identities. The older guys your olny have to watch so much...its the youg bandido wearing the probate patched that will be the one to give you the hard time...watch your back with these guys and if you have to deal with a large group...ask to speak to the Sgt. At Arms....If your gonna get any help from the group, he's normally the guy who will help, if he in a giving mood! Yall be safe out there....
