It's been a long time comming...

About 8 yeas ago I rode my neighbors Yamaha 125 enduro and fell in love with bikes! I purchased a 1986 Yamaha FZ600 with a rust hole in the tank. With my neighbors help I plugged it, spray painted it, installed a stock headers & exhaust from the parts yard, and learned to ride it. The tank kept leaking after a week or two after patching so after two more ebay tanks and failing brakes I sold it. Finally in Nov. 2012 I signed up on this site for a discount, took the MS course, received my license, and became the proud owner of a 2006 MotoGuzzi Breva 1100 complete with windscreen, crashbars, and hard luggage. I wiped out on my way home making a left turn at Windfern & Phillippine! Due to unusual intelligense & healthy fear I had on gear & gloves so with just a lightly bruised ankle I made it home with $80 damage to the bike & priceless humility thx to the crashbars! In hindsight I was trying to turn like I did on the FZ but this bike is heavier & more top heavy. It kind of flops over at low speeds so you can't lean much at lower speeds. Lesson learned! I commuted to work for about two weeks & now I am a lightly seasoned Motohouston member! With 5 kids w/ two in college (go UT & A&M!)... um (go A&M & UT!)...I don't have a lot of time to ride but I hope I get to meet some of ya'll soon!
