The wife has an FZ6 which is really comfy to ride. Dunno how that compares to the FZ1. I haven't tried to wheelie it yet.

They are WAAAAAAAY more comfy than a sport bike. Passenger comfort much better than sportbike, and lots of different type backrests are available if you want. And yes they will wheelie - I have a video in the form of an attachment, but don't know how to get it on here - it's a friend of mine doing a sit down wheelie - starts in first, comes down in the top of third @ well over 100 - not one of his best wheelies - he normally gets into 4th and runs up to about 130 - he's 59 years old, and bad to the bone - ask gixxerbill or sk bandito - he can run sub 2:00 all day on the same FZ @TWS (Texas World Speedway). BTW All my experience and references here are to Gen 1 FZ's (2001-2005)

I have a 1st gen FZ and it will power lift in 1st or and clutch up in 2nd gear.
I have ridden it 6 hours out to hill country and done several track days. The sportbikes can lean a little further but I was able to keep up with most of the folks on the track.
Its the best bike I have ever had for its comfort and performance. Its a compromise but I think Yamaha has done a good job balancing performance with comfort. It aint an R1 but you'll work your off gettin away from me.
It aint a Goldwing but it don't weigh 4000 lbs either.
