About to buy '06 GSXR1000 for $5000

Bike Needs:

5. Missing Screws

This is a relatively new bike, so does anyone know where I can get all of this done at? I dont see a lot of parts available on ebay etc, etc :BangHead:

If the bike has been wrecked, and that's all that needs replaced then $5k is very low. Make sure that's ALL that needs to be fixed.

You my friend are "NOT" getting a good deal.

If the bike comes with a "clean & clear" title - it's still an "okay" deal, but if it requires all the above & comes with a salavge title - you my friend are "NOT" getting a good deal.

I bought my 06 GSXR 1000 from Florida back in Jan 07 for under $6000. The bike was in nice condition with just the tail section a little scratched. The bike required no work at all!

If you did get this bike, you would be looking to spend some visible cost (that you mentioned above) and also some hidden costs. Its been wrecked, so frame, forks and wheels - i would diffinately check em out first.

Think about it..

oh by the way, i don't know why you say ebay does'nt have those parts i found all of them within the first two pages when i typed in "05 06 GSXR 1000"

Try it..

Yep, you are completely right, I searched wrong I presume.

I doubled checked everything. Even took the rear plasic off to ensure the frame, and subframe are ok. Forks are perfect, wheels are perfect. The guy loaned it to his friend, his friend had a wheelie go past 12 o'clock on him, and returned the bike not willing to finish payments. 2 weeks ago he said he had his 06 GSXR600 stolen, and he just wants to get out from under these 2 bikes. I took a good look at it; everything checks out; motor really performs.

If you all have any more tips let me know.

I'm getting a wrecked bike because I can get it cheaper, and built it the way I want it.
