I just bought another bike... My first Duci :D

Just picked up my first Ducati. It can now sit next to my other Triumphs. I wanted an older Duci, because I like the old 2-valve motors. Plus they are easier to work on.

So here she is, a 1996 Ducati 900SS SP. More photos to come when she is delivered.

I will be ordering some goodies for it soon. New clutch fun, new tires. Thinking about making her a track .

Thoughts?

I was looking at 748s and 749s and even a few 848s. But I just wanted something a little different. And man, this thing just sounds great.

Any advice on MOD's?

Rik Mayall is a of comedy. Just dont drive like him. Nearly killed himself on a 4 wheeler in his driveway.

"I suppose you think it's pretty weird, don't you Mike? Well, you'd be right. 'Cause THAT'S the kind of guy I am, right? WEIRD. Which is why I go over people's heads. A bit like an aeroplane! You think I'm an aeroplane, don't you, Mike? Well, I'm not."

Awesome bike, congrats. A very underrated do it all machine, from tracks to commuting to touring. I seriously miss my 95 SS/CR. Probably the best sounding machine I have ever owned with FCRs, K&N pods and slip ons.

I don't think it is. I got it from a guy in Dallas. The last registration sticker on the bike is from 2009. And there is a North Carolina Inspection sticker on the forks....

Tomorrow after class I'm getting new tires, good ol'e chain cleaning, and will flush the fluids.

And then clean it. I'll take some photos after that. Also ordered a Open Dry Clutch cover last night. lol. A guess I need a nice and shiny pressure plate too...
