Many of you may have seen news reports of a motorcyclist that was killed early Saturday Morning, June 29, fleeing from the police was Blake Reeves. He had just turned 21 nine days prior the the accident on June 30th. Some of you know him from Clutch Crew on the Shed Ride Lite that was held earlier this year in February. He was head strong and didn't make all the right decisions in life but he was a good person none the less. As to the news reports some of the facts were great exaggerations... His headlights was not painted over... The lenses had overspray around the edges of the light. And his license plate position was no different than many of the crew member have at this moment.

The truth however is that he did , for whatever motive, attempt to flee from the police and as he was lengthening the distance between himself and the police at speeds I can only assume were well above 100+ mph he struck a curb and he and the bike tumbled and slide over 150+ feet. The bike slammed into the back of a parked car with so much force it moved the car six feet. Blake struck the from of the car and then a large concrete based light pole. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

We do not know why he decided to run. He wasn't doing anything wrong. The officer stated the reason he attempted to pull Blake over was to question him about his headlight as a safety issue... nothing more.

Although Blake is no longer with us, he will live on and help many others as a donor. Funeral arrangements are being made and I will post them when they are final.

I hope this message will discourage others from running... a ticket and or jail time nothing if you can return home to your family safety compared to being seriously injured or killed.
That's a lot of speed

I've seen at pp1 some one going 45 mph and moved 2 cars at least 3 ft so 6 ft at a straight away is really not fast at all. Depends were and how he hit to do that.

Is there a way to find the names of the officers who were chasing him?

Did anybody comment on the fact that since this incident happened at 1am or so, that maybe a mom pushing their baby in a stroller might not be up to any good either? (it took me forever to realize this, and I saw your comment at least a day ago, LOL)

How about a pregnant woman that was getting off work? Is that better?

Youd have to question why some mom would be pushing a stroller at 1 am...

What, since it's against the law? Yea, she should have known that out of control motorcycles have the right of way.
