Question Ok...I need your help to decide on starter bike

I decided the safest way for me is to start (how embarrasing) is on a 250. It can down to purchasing a new or used ninja 250 or a new hyosung 250. At least the hyosung is more a full size shape than the narrow funny looking ninja. Also it has been said the hyosung were the ones that use to make suzuki motors and HAVE HAD GOOD REVIEWS so please give it a chance. what do you guys think i should go with?

Used Ninja 250.

You'll probably want to upgrade the bike in a while after your experience grows and you won't lose your money selling a used one. You lose a lot selling one you bought off the floor.

The Hyo has a better shape and a little more bottom end torque... it is also more of a GSXR/ sportbike seating position. The Ninja is more upight.

BUT

The Hyo are still not well known, so when it is time to sell it, you won't have as much return as you will on the Ninja.

They are both light, easy to ride, and will go over 100.

Give me a shout if you ae looking for a Ninja 250... just happen to have one for sale.... with a matching helmet

If you were thinking of getting a new 250, you might as well get a slightly used 500 for about the same price...just a suggestion

get the ninja.

ninja's sell themselves, so when you get around to upgrading, all you have to do is list it. people will be looking for it.

busa. dropped, streched, and juiced. only way to go for a starter bike.

jk
if the choice is only between the two, i would say the ninja, i have heard it will be harder to find parts and get service for the Hyosung

You are smart for deciding on a 250....If ya wanna go bigger Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited has a 02 sv650 with racetech front suspension and ohlins rear shock for 3700.

It might not be a bad choice....not as much power as a 600, but you won't outgrow it either. No plastics to damage in a tipover, and as your skills progress would make a perfect trackbike.

i was gonna suggest something of that nature as well, but since he has decided on the 250, i think the ninja would be his best bet.
