no. that's why there's a used market.

i'll leave this at that and not comment anymore on this subject as it is getting off track and doesn't pertain to OP's original question.

Back on track then.

I don't really see this as being any different than the Pazzo knock off levers. Those levers have do have issues but are mostly cosmetic rather than functional. They have minor fitment issues but seem to be getting better. Also the anodizing seems to not last as well and begin to fade though, again, they are getting better. Once installed hey are functionally sound.

My expectation is that these boots would not be much different than knock off levers. Probably not the same quality leather or stitching but still better than tennis shoes. Although stitching out of India and China has gotten dramatically better over just the last 5 years alone.

I tell you what. I am going to order a pair and take some close up photos side by side with my SIDI. I am not going to voluntarily crash them for you though.

Still in for reviews. I bought my Sidi's used but they rarely come up on the market.

uh huh... What should Daijiro Kato have been wearing then?

What precisely is the 'proper' gear while your at it? Most moderatley priced boot is going to be better than a pair of flip flops or loafers.

I only had a low speed get-off in a parking lot and the zipper on my Sidi's didn't hold. Glad I wasn't going over 10 mph.

I can tell you the vendor is prompt. Price on eBay included shipping. I ordered on Sunday and it will be delivered to my office today. I am eager to compare these directly to my SIDI.

By the way, if you order I think these run about half a size small. if you are a 10 I would order a 10.5.

Great review! Thanks! Love Sidis, so will be interesting to know if these will withstand serious use; and more importantly, hold up in a crash.

I just got the Vortice knock off and have much the same impression.

Also concur that the shipping was prompt.
