maybe mine is just running rich as .....

thanks for the input i understand what your saying. i just don't have money for a full exhaust +pcIII + tuning.... so i'll just suffer with the extra $1-2 for gas

Wow I got decent mileage today 294 miles aprox 6.3 gallons approc 46.... mpg not forgeting nearly 100 miles freeway :(

Both my '05 R6 and my current brand new '06 R6 would go until 115-120 and then the light comes on. Thats when commuting to and from work/school.


Weird thing is (kinda off topic though) my 06 R6 gets much better mileage on the track than the 05 did.

yall have me beat. on my o4 sv the best i got was 36 and hauling i got 33 on the rc that pig gets low 30s and high 20s.

so much for bikes being more economical.

+1 on checking the air filter.

As far as dyno mapping;

If your mods are mild, i.e. slip on / full exhaust and air filter, you're running pump gas, and your PCIII is properly installed and set up,
I've yet to see any noticeable change / difference on most of the bikes out there between installing a Dynojet map for your combo vs. custom dyno mapping.


Most of the running issues I've seen can be addressed better by a good tune up; plugs, air filter, synch throttle bodies.


While PCIII's and their alternatives are good tools for manipulating fuel injection systems, they are not a "magic" cure all for everything.




My 2 cents, YMMV.

take it to patrick and let him check it out.. i used to get 130ish on my k4 750.. i dont know what im getting on the 1000.. all i know is everyone in the group's light tends to come on within 10 miles of each other so i never worried about the exact numbers.. I'll check next time though.. check with patrick!!!

also Long the new yami's if you get them mapped you can change the fuel ratios on the display . not as great as a map and a pc but it works..
