Currently on a 07 Yamaha R1
2010 BMW S1000rr(sold)
02 R1, 04 R1, 07 R6, 07R1 & 09 R1 all sold
94 CBR 6f2, 93 CBR 900rr, 97 CBR600f3 & 07 CBR 600rr(all sold
Big Wheel, Redline BMX, Peugeot PGN-10(speed)

I had the newer R1, totally disappointed me! No top end when my 04 and 07 R1s had a great top end. The 09 has strong low and mids feels real weak at the top. Kinda V-twinish. Thats why I got back on a 07! The CBRs are great handling and reliable I think they're great as far as new. Reliability what you want..CBR!!

I've had several years of the CBR ('06, '08, and just bought a '12), as well as a few other liter bikes... but I never really considered the R1 as an option.

Roadracing World is actually a great, informative source for comparison between models... they do street and track evaluations, and I have come to trust what they have to say.

Are cbr's usually have a higher ground clearance? I seem to tippy toe more on them so thats why i choose r1 for better balance. R1 handles well too

Hold on. So riding street, the r6 isn't fast enough for you so you need a 1000? Lol do you weigh 400lbs? Have you done a track day on the r6? Just bc you had the throttle all the way down in 6 on a straight doesn't mean you mastered it. Ride a track day, you haven't touched your 600's potential. And 08cbr1000 ftw

Yea, the handling and balance is not very good on a CBR when you have your feet off the pegs

, I wish I was as good a rider as you. Mastering a 600 in a few short months.... I won't even ride a 600 now and I have been riding for several years. Maybe I should just give up riding motorcycles...
