From the dirt to street

Whaaats up everyone, I'm kinda new to the street scene but I've been riding dirt bikes for quite a while. I actually just moved down to Houston a few months ago from college station and finally bought myself a bike. I picked up an 09 r6, got my license, and have a new profound love.

I heard Wednesday nights were the time to ride so I plan out going out tonight and trying to find some adrenaline junkies like myself.

Welcome to the forum and Houston. Yeah check out the events section. There is a West Side meet tonight and then they ride to PP1 (starbucks @ westheimer and post oak). There will be people riding out from PP1 on routes .. be safe and keep the rubber side down.

Welcome! When things get really hairy, some of the ole dirt riding instincts may take over and get you out of your mess! That's why Kenny Roberts trains riders on dirt flat tracks..sliding!

Dirt riders tend to pick up street/track pretty quickly, and quite well.

Street to dirt, not so much...
