Thumbs up Commuting to/from work

Do you commuters keep up with your fuel mileage? I drive 50 miles round trip daily and this is what I came up with for this week. Am I a nerd for tracking this stuff?

Total miles run, 388 mi.
Total fuel used, 9.23 Gal.
Total Price, $24.18
Fuel Mileage, 42.4 mpg

that look about right for an almost stock R6?

Britt

ok, I wanna join in on the fun...... <----that's for you Teresa!!!

for the sake of the thread, I get about 40 mpg out of the kawi....and that's riding backroads. no idea what I get commuting since I live in an apartment and riding the bike to work can be a HUGE hassle. Next month though I'm in a townhouse, then it's on like Donkey Kong

I'm getting between 35-40 mpg averages.....just depends on how hard I'm riding it.....but so far I've never seen below 35. I ride to work every day its not raining. 30 miles approx round trip.

My lifted F150 gets 10mpg all the time...city/hwy/towing doesn't matter.....sometimes if I'm lucky on the highway on a long trip I'll get 11.5

hahahaha... I thought I was the only person that did that.... I track all my mileage on my bike and car... everyone always asked why, but I just figure your gas mileage will be the first indicator of an issue with your engine...

I am getting on average about 40-45mpg.... I have an '02 though...

35-40 on average here, but once after some heavy throttle riding i was showing the low fuel light after just 75miles, which equates to less than 25mph.... ZX-10R.
