Here's the deal. Tires/Oil/Batteries are a profit for auto parts stores. It's not like it was 10 years ago where they payed to have them picked up. Now they get paid for them to be picked up. All of it gets recycled. Tires before shoes and court surfaces. Oil becomes biodiesel and turned back into new oil. Batteries get broken down and made into new batteries. If they give you , point this out that you are bringing them money, and they will let you bring as much as you want. This is why you see locks on oil tanks behind fast food locations. They aren't afraid you'll dump in there, they are afraid you will steal their oil and they will lose revenue.
