I said the same thing, but found out when trying to install my ignition module that my PCIII needed to have current Firmware 2.x don't recall off my head exact version. Mine is 1.0. Something. I can't just download firmware from the site because it is too out of date. Called dynojet and was told either send it in for reprogramming or buy the reprogrammer part number PCPRONG. This will bring my PCIII current so I can then hook up the Ignition module and turn on my quickshifter. Without this hardware I am dead in the water. Hope that explains it for you.

Sounds like enough of a PITA that you might just want to get a PC5

Don't make a PCV for 03 GSXR 1000 and really it's not just need the reprogrammer.

Yeah that was the first thing I did. I called my buddy out here who has the only dyno in the state of Alabama lol. He didn't have the reprogrammer so I just bit the bullet and bought one from Dynojet. I figure I can sell it or help others out who may run into this problem.
