TMGP & Halffast Round tres

What an awesome (HOTTTT) day , so smooth of a day the event was ran very smooth. I entered 10 races, spent $100, . After the riders meeting I took my blue painters tape and my marker to write down my grid positions…looking at the papers I see my first race is race two, then race 3, 4, 5, 6, 7…yup, 6 races in a row. Luckily there was a 15-minute break between race 6 & 7, but I was racing the mini bike for 45 minutes straight. BIG BIG Thank you to my girlfriend Areli, who was bringing me water between every race and Ziploc bags with ice to put in my leathers, with out that, there is no way I would have been able to finish those 5 races. I had some good battles with Kyle (mr337) and Ryan Cooley. It was angry hot during the races, and the only way we could cool off was to take off everything. I was pitted with Patrick, Scott and his three kids, Kyle and Ivan. Tarah, Scott’s daughter had an off during practice, but I know she is a tough girl and will be back for me at MSRC!!!!! I did have one crash, the second to last race I was right on the rear tire of Kyle (E-train) and he low sided right in front of me. I had nowhere to go except run into him and that sent me over the handlebars. I banged my head pretty hard; enough to where I couldn’t walk, I had to crawl away. I broke the clutch perch. After about two minutes of sitting down getting my marbles back together, I replaced the clutch perch and raced the next race. At the end of the day I walked away with 2-3rd place finishes, 1-2nd, and 3-1st place finishes. Oh yeah and Ivan (Newrider/NewRacer) raced too… kind of.

Huge thank you the people that helped me this weekend, my GF Areli, Ryan with the Go pros and lunch!!!!, Kyle for helping me get my bike back together.

I still dont know how you managed 6 races in a row..... i did my 4 races in a row and by the 3rd to last lap of the 4th race i was out of steam and just cruised to get points (since it was the motard expert race those guys were just to fast!)

Man, you did not miss much

From the other thread I posted.

Quote:
Man, I wanna start by thanking Joey for pushing me to come put there.

Made it late so was not thinking I could race, so didn't have my leathers.

Kyle was cool enough to save the day though.

Holy did i stink up the place. Got lapped pretty bad in my first race

Still had fun...

Second race I did slightly better and by the third race my only goal was to not be dead last

Which I wasn't!

Had a pretty good race going with the guy behind closing in.

Fun stuff!!

Now just gotta get out there and practice more!

I'm coming for you, Joey!

It was fun watching Kyle and Hector battling it out.
You were in beast mode, joey!

Kyle, what happened when he got around you coming out of turn 2, did you miss a shift? He caught you there the first two laps but you pulled him into 3, so I figure you must have missed a shift and let him by...once he got around you he did a pretty good job of blocking the lines to keep you back there.
I sort of expected you to blow back by him on the straight in that first lap after he passed you...after that I figured he had enough lead to keep you at bay on the straight.

Yea you would easily gain 15-20 yards by the end of the straight. and our braking is about the same. buy your ohlins, ill stick with my $200 rebuilt rear shock and spacers in the front forks and catch you. as soon as i got around you did you notice the i stayed right in the middle of the track, defensive like a . good race kyle all of them were, had a blast running with you.

yea i think he missed a gear and i jumped on it, as soon as i passes i knew i was on defense and held him up on the straight after turn 3, buy thankfully i carry more corner speed than him, so i had the tight part of the track to build a small gap. and thankfully i had an open track ahead of me so i was able to make some fast lap times, while kyle found hector at his rear tire and had to play defense against him. playing defense and keeping someone off you drops your time, im sure you know that, so i happily walked away and lets those boys play.

Yep, it looked like he missed the shift to me... I know his bike will pull yours down the straight and has better drive out of the corners, and the ease in which you went around him smells of missed shift...me off when i do that too. I was laughing watching your lines thru 3, 4 and 5 after that... I knew exactly what you were up to... I did that to Joseph last year cause we were neck and neck so much, make him have to come thru me. love this game.

ya in turn 2 i would keep being in 3rd gear instead of 2nd gear and out of the powerband on my 2 smoker. anyone who has rode mine knows it's like a lightswitch with the powerband there's 0 power then OMGWTFBBQ hold on the front wheel is coming up lol.

ya I wanna say big thanks to Krazy Kris and also a big I HATE YOU also to him for showing me and joey the defensive line haha. once joey got around me hector was right there on my also so i had to play defensive line on him and sacrifice speed to take the tight line around and block him instead of focusing on joey. i should have just stayed focued on joey and let the bike do what she does best which is fly haha.

stoked can't wait until the next race this is super fun and i love racing with you joey and hector nothing better except next time i'm bringing cold beer for after the race lol
