Filing a property theft report?

How can I file a police report for a friend that had a laptop and DJ controller stolen from him last night. We know who stole it and where said person works and have photo proof of him admitting guilt. Just wanna know the most effective and quickest way of getting this resolved.

Not being a smartass but why wouldn't you just call the police? That is how you file a police report.

I was asking cause the property isnt mine, he is feeling depressed and and doesnt wanna file a report so i was wondering if its something I could do for him. Of course the first thing to do is call police, but i didnt want to bother them if its not something I can really do.

I think he would have to do it since it is his property. Don't think there is any way around that. Good luck

I say guilt the perp on facebook till he gets sad and gives it back. Sounds like your friend's "friend" stole it. Friend is a pretty liberal work, has a different meaning to everyone. Either go over with 4-5 peeps and beat the out of the perp or call the police asap. Keep stalling and it's gone forever. If he knows he serial numbers it will go on the report so when it gets pawned down the line he will get it back, sorta...

To quote Tina Turner "We don't need another DJ"...wait...that was it right?

Call the agency that has jurisdiction where the theft occurred. And the actual victim has to call.

Or you can do as BEVO stated....lol

If you have info to a crime, please report it. Our society is already full of folks willing to look the other way.
